The Young Person's Guide To The Orchestra - Animated Short Film "Red & The Kingdom of Sound"- 2018

On this project I was lead environment artist responsible for the modelling and layout of mutiple assets and environments. I was also lead vehicle artist responsible for modelling and rigging the variety of conveyances throughout the animation as well as modelling, rigging and animating the "Percussion Conveyor of Doom".

 

Commissioned by ONE, an Orchestra Network for Europe, Red & The Kingdom Of Sound is an award-winning animated adaptation of Benjamin Britten’s The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra. The animation imagines Britten’s orchestra as a series of fantastical realms. Red, the animation’s titular character, represents the newcomer to classical music, and the film follows his adventures in the Kingdom Of Sound.
