CORVUS VIII is the convergence of imagination, craft, and professional practice. I am Simon Holland, a concept artist whose work spans 2D illustration, 3D modelling, sculpting, and miniature painting, informed by years of experience as a Course Leader in Games Art at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies and as a Lecturer in Computer Animation Arts and Games Design at the University for the Creative Arts.Over the past decade, I have guided and mentored emerging artists, delivering industry-focused curricula and helping students refine their creative and technical abilities. This experience has honed my ability to develop designs that are not only imaginative but also practical for production, whether in miniatures, animation, or visual storytelling. My lifelong passion for fantasy and science fiction, particularly the universes of Warhammer 40,000, Age of Sigmar, and the broader hobbyist world, fuels my creative work. Each piece on CORVUS VIII reflects a commitment to storytelling, craftsmanship, and the immersive worlds that inspire me — from intricate miniature painting to expansive environmental and character design. This portfolio represents both finished works and explorations in process, showcasing my dedication to concept, narrative, and detail. CORVUS VIII is a space where imagination meets technical skill, and where every design strives to tell a story and inspire the viewer.
